Colorado native Zak Maytum narrowly beat out Canadians Alex Charleson and Kevin Reimer to clench his third Maryhill Festival of Speed title.
It was an epic battle, with the lead changing multiple times over the length of the track. Alex Charleson led out of Cowzers Corner but left just enough space on the inside of the final corner for Zak to sneak through.
But it was in the short section of track between the final corner and the finish line where the action really happened, as Alex threatened to re-overtake Zak, and the two jostled and bumped shoulders. Check this video of the finish.

Also battling in final was two-time winner Patrick Switzer and newcomers to a MFOS Open final, Spencer Smith and Brendan Davidson.
In Juniors, Canadian Alex Charleson dominated the field followed by Australian Tyron Knight and American Shamar Jackson.
In Women’s American Emily Pross was narrowly triumphant over Canadian Victoria Waddington and Marie Bougourd from France.
In Street Luge Spaniard Mikel Echegaray Diez easily defeated Malaysian Abdil Mahdzan and American Christian Conaway.
Mikel Echegaray Diez again easily won Classic Luge over Canadian Riley Harris and American Benjamin Zehner.
The final day was another scorcher at the historic Maryhill Loops Road. The Ozman brothers and Volcanic Promotions hosted 250 downhill racers from 23 countries in another triumphant event.
