Reimer takes the cake in Tarma

After a number of attempts the now IDF World Series points leader finally took the win that has eluded him in Tarma, Peru. The Canadian dominated his early round heats and was all class in the final to defeat former Tarma winner Dillon Stephens and Americans James Kelly (3rd) and Kyle Wester (4th).

Top Qualifier Sebastian Hertler of Germany was edged out by Alex Tongue in the Consi to take 6th from Peruvian Gustavo Paredes Mena who took his qualifying form and nose for the local conditions to go all the way into the semi-finals before ending in 7th position overall with Chilean Matias Eduardo rounding out the top 8.

Despues de varios intentos, el ahora lider del Camponato Mundial logra coronar el triunfo que lo habia estado eludindo en Tarma, Perú . El canadiense dominó todas sus rondas y superó con clase a sus contendores entre los que se encuentran anteriores ganadores de Tarma, Dillon Stephens (2do) de Canada y los americanos James Kelly (3ero) y Kyle Wester (4to). El mejor clasificado por tiempos Sebastian Hertler de Alemania fue vencido por Alex Tounge en la final de consolación, quién le arrebato el 6to puesto a Gustavo Paredes del Perú, que aprvoechó su clasificación y su condición de local para llegar a las semifinales y terminar de 7mo, con el chileno Matias Eduardo para completar los ocho mejores.

In the Women's category Marie Bougourd of France took the win in commanding fashion from the Brazilians Georgia Bontorin and Melissa Brogni Da Luz who will be real threats on home turf when the series moves to the Mega Space event next weekend in Brazil. Colombian Jenny Salazar took 4th rounding out a tough Women's final.

En la categoría de mujeres Marie Bougourd de Francia triunfó con propiedad, las brasileras Georgia Bontorin y Melissa Brogni Da Luz claramente serán una amenaza en su país cuando la serie se llegue a Mega Space la próxima semana en Brasil. Jenny Salazar de Colombia logro el 4to puesto en una exigente categoría de mujeres.

Rodrigo Zuzunaga was all class in the Junior final to take an easy win. 2nd and 3rd was a titanic battle between Luis Rabanal and Raphael Harada with both riders neck and neck into to final corner only to collide in spectacular fashion within meters of the finish line, this was the moment that local Tarma rider Wilder Mendoza had been waiting for all his life as he snuck across from 4th to 2nd to snatch a podium spot as the 2 injured Peruvians were attempting to claw their way across the finish line on hands and knees. The thousand strong crowd at the finish line erupted as their local kid crossed with fists raised in victory and was promptly lifted up in a sea of people.

Rodrigo Zuzunaga fue superior en la categoría Junior ganando con propiedad. Una titánica batalla por el 2do lugar se libró entre Raphael Harada y Luis Rabanal, llegando a la curva final cabeza a acabeza, terminando en una espectacular colisión metros antes de la meta; momento que el rider local Wilder Mendoza había esparado toda su vida, pasando del 4to lugar al 2do y arrebatándole el podio a los dos peruanos lesionados que a gatas tratarón de pasar la meta. Los miles de espectadores en le meta explotaron cuando su rider local logró el segundo lugar con los brazos en alto, y fue ovasionado y alzado en hombros par un mar de personas.

In Street Luge Malaysian Abdil Mahdzen's record breaking qualifying result was not enough to hold off American David Dean who not only took 2 wins out of 3 but moves ahead of Furlong in the points series to create an interesting battle for the World Cup Series at Hot Heels in the final event of the year in South Africa. In the Classic Luge Peruvian Luis Mogrovejo took all three wins to easily fend off rival Fabian Gutierrez Roa for the title with Cesar Morales making up the podium.

En Street Luge el record de pista de Abdil Mahdzen no fue suficiente para detener al americano David Dean quién no solo ganó dos de las tres carreras sino que rebasa a Furlong en los puntos de la serie generando así una muy interesante batalla por la Copa del Mundo en Hot Heels el evento final del año en Sudáfrica. En Classic Luge el peruano Luis Mogrovejo gano las tres carreras facilmente batiendoa su rival Fabián Gutiérrez Roa por el título y compartiendo el podio con Cesar Morales.

The South American leg moves onto Mega Space in Brazil next weekend were the action is sure to heat up with a host of top Brazilians taking on the worlds best during the penulimate event in Belo Horizonte.
