Carlos Paixão of Brazil posted the fastest time during practice on Day One of the Killington Throwdown, but close behind him was the entire Colorado crew. Five of the top eight skaters were from Colorado, with Tanner Morelock and Zak Maytum on top, and the only American not from Colorado to claim a top-10 practice time was Emily Pross.
The Killington track is fast, with multiple riders hitting 68mph in the fastest section.
