After a year of great racing, the 2017 season ended on a high note at Killington one month ago. Today, October 13 2017, the IDF is proud to announce the 2018 race season schedule to the world. This is the earliest that a calendar has been published, a little step forward that we believe will benefit the entire community, from the organizers to the individual riders.
2018 will feature 18 races across the world - 7 World Cups and 11 World Qualifier Series - kicking off with the Asia-Pacific continent in April. Next will follow Europe, North America and South America in that order, concluding in November.
During the past few months, the IDF has been in tight and continuous collaboration with all the organizers around the world. Combined with strong cooperation between each organizer in every continent and weekly Board Meetings for the past month, we are happy to have such a strong calendar ready so early.
Regarding the World Championship ranking points 2018, the IDF will score the best 7 results with a maximum of 5 World Cups for Open Skateboarding class.
For Woman/Junior/Master Skateboarding and Luge class, IDF will score the best 5 results with a maximum of 3 World Cups.
For the Continental Championship, the follow criteria will be applied in each different continent:
