In a blistering heat of 41C/106F, 166 riders fought through two 96-person brackets for the final 48 spots in tomorrows Open Finals bracket. The temperature is tipped to stay high tomorrow, with no respite for riders, who must endure the conditions wearing leathers and full-face helmets.
The top 48 from yesterday's qualifying were able to stay out of the heat today and will start tomorrow refreshed. Top qualifiers Kevin Reimer in Opens, Emily Pross in Womens and Mikel Echegary Diez in Street Luge and Classic Luge, will start as favorites, but anything can happen on the Maryhill track, which favors racing smarts over raw speed.
Tomorrow's finals brackets are below:
Open skateboard finals
Women's skateboard finals
Junior skateboard finals
Street luge finals
Classic luge finals
