Brazilian Ian Freire won the first ever IDF 7 Curves event today, after dominating the international field to create an all South-American final.
The 7 Curves track is unique on the world circuit; it has hardly any straight sections and with a series of steep, back-to-back hairpins it forces riders to spend almost as much time sideways as forwards. It's a formidable test of skill and precision.
Melissa Brogni Da Luz made it a Brazilian double by taking out the Women's event, while Otávio Fialho made it a Brazilian triple with a win in the Juniors.
In Street Luge, Chilean David Morales was undefeated over three rounds, while Austrian Konstantin Weigl reigned supreme in Classic Luge.
