Crispy air and clean blue sky woke us up after a night of great party and big rain storm. Mood, atmosphere and asphalt could not be better for the (first) Italian leg of the IDF World Qualifying Series 2014 which took place within Lozio Skateorum MMXIV, an Italian classic also including freerides and the Italian Grand Championship (http://www.ruote-libere.it)
The Open Longboard was dominated by Alex Dehmel, who came from Germany to win the first place and be honored with the title of Lozio Pretorian. With a mature and solid performance Filippo Salerni won the silver medal. The sixteen years old Giorgio Garino showed he is growing up fast and massive by conquering the third place in the Open and the first in the Junior. Myrjam Weißschüh completed the Longboard palmares for females.
Classic Luge and Street Luge shared the same first and second places, that see an unbeatable Luca Santolamazza first and a fierce Matteo Demarchi second. The timeless Daniele Aldinucci got a hard-fought third place in the Street Luge and Rafael Fazano made his long trip fro Spain to profit with the third place in the Classic Luge.
In giving you the appointment for the next year, we wish to acknowledge Lozio municipality and community for the unique hospitality, and all the volunteers (timekeepers, marshals, helthcare assistants) and sponsors that made the event reality.
