2021 AGM & Election
The IDF’s 2021 Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, January 23rd. During this meeting, the 2019-2020 IDF Board of Directors will update the membership on what it has accomplished and planned for the future of the IDF. The current board will also use this meeting to announce the newly-elected members of the 2021-2022 IDF Board of Directors.
The application to be an IDF board member should not be taken lightly. An elected board member will be expected to serve their full two-year term, attend the majority of meetings, volunteer at least 5 hours of time to the IDF each week, and work multiple skate events. Given the increased responsibilities, dereliction of these duties will lead to serious legal consequences. You will be handling contractual obligations of serious monetary value. Your work will directly affect the future of the sport. Please strongly consider applying if you have a background in accounting, IT, business, event management, or law.
For all current members who are interested in running for a position on the IDF Board of Directors, your submission must be received by midnight (PST) on January 16, 2021. Your submission must include a bio about yourself, a photo of yourself, and two letters of recommendation from current IDF members. Please fill out the form at the bottom of this page. On January 18th, all prospective candidates will be posted on the IDF website. Voting will then open to current members on January 21st for a period of 48 hours. More detailed information about how to cast your vote and how to view the AGM will be available in January.
2021 IDF Circuit Update
We are still working with race organisers to produce the 2021 schedule. As can be imagined, the pandemic situation has made it difficult and challenging for organisers to finalise their races. Rest assured that both the organisers and the board are determined to continue providing world class races for racers to enjoy. We thank you for your patience.
As of now, the 2021 race season is likely to begin in July and is looking to include events on all four IDF continental tours. Old favorites will be featured, such as Kozakov and Vulcan, as well as several new locations like Costa Rica.
